hoops1964: so what he said was that the league that we are in is preventing us from obtaining high priced talent then perhaps the EPL isnt such a bad idea after all i cant stand the english but if it means a better squad lets do it hail hail

tomfer: Hmm ? My comments appear to be getting blocked , in some form of censorship , I guess free speech like good players is a thing of the past at Parkhead !

MisterHoopy: our policy isn't the opposite of the currant buns it is a middle ground and the only way forward for our club

mulican57: PL was chancing his arm again this year with a lack of investment, hoping we would make it to the group stages without spending a penny. His 'luck' backfired or should I say his 'speculation'. Hey Hoopy, we have every right to express our distate for a policy that is the other extrexe of what Rangers did. Their way was cheat your way to success with recless spending and we are sticking out head in the sand with lack of TIMELY investment and sticking out head in the sand. Get your nose out of his derrier!!!!

MisterHoopy: Only an idiot would fail to see the sense in our transfer strategy and only a fool would fail to see that this strategy is the ONLY way forward for Celtic. It is not going to change so get used to it and stop moaning.

MisterHoopy: We've invested all the CL money back into the club either in players or the infrastructure

MisterHoopy: Ronny Deila isn't an amatuer only a fool would utter such a lie.

MisterHoopy: sorry but we've invested millions upon millions in the team. All money we bring in is either invested in players or the infrastructure of the club.

mulican57: You fans that back this used motor salesman are seriously delutional. He is sitting there lying. What happened to 2 years C.L. money and Neil Lennons transfer fee. Bring in an amatuer and give him NO money for the qualifiers. Lawell get out and sell cars.

Robert1888: in lawwell we trust

scottiehug74: Gretb interview with Peter lawwell, smart man.

Junglejimbob: Peter Lawwell has been brilliant for Celtic and Scottish football. He deserves our support for the work he has done and is doing to secure our future. Any supporter with the intelligence to analyse the game, the club and the business will know that Peter is excellent. Hail Hail Peter - Celtic through and through. Thanks from a true fan. Much appreciated.

kev@sky: kevmcc peter is doing a good job just have a look at rangers /hearts /hibs well done pl

tomfer: Not impressed !

williebhoy58: HE GIVES ME THE BOAK THE CLUB IS IN MASSIVE FREEFAL CAUSED BY LACK OF INVESTMENT IN THE TEAM

bpdun88: I understand the frustration, of course, being a supporter, but I don't understand the criticism leveled at the Board. As PL notes, the Board are all Celtic supporters, too. They are gutted like we are when the team doesn't do well. The Board may have a plan the is independent of Rangers, but you can't make up for the revenue and prestige decline that results from 3 of the 4 biggest clubs in Scotland NOT being in the top flight.

paolo89: Well Said peter I agree with everything he said I think celtic fans need to trust there boarding I back the board 100%

pepperami: Also as much as I like mulgrew he's not a celtic captain or champions league class

pepperami: I don't link being taken for a mug pay the workers the living wage and then stop buying players for the manager to play

janfin49: It is the team we want more money invested in not the club. What is the point in having a beautiful exterior if the most important part of the cub, ie the team is crumbling.

kscott1955: Peter, you are THE reason we are surviving in this unfortunate market that is the SPFL. Thankyou for all your efforts and keeping us on a solid foundation

janfin49: No, I'm sorry this is a politician not answering the questions we all want to ask.

Ess1967: Like you Peter, I'm not buying it

joe1888: he knows that we dont want the club to go out and spend 10-12 million on a single player, aw we want is a couple a 4-5 mill players of decent quality to make the team better, if he did that we would be in champs league the noo

joe1888: lawell thinks we are all thick

joe1888: exactly bigshot

thebigshot61: When we could bought stevie fletcher for 3.5m but wouldn't do it cost us 3 league championship and 3 champions leagues. Before the legia game we wouldn't strengthen the team and lost. After a retrieve we still never learnt our lesson and didn't bring in a striker and lost out on 15m.Sometimes you've got to speculate to accumulate, within our financial constraints .Unfortunately lawwell and the board just don't learn the lessons from the past and I think it's time for chance.

joe1888: guy is full of it man

thebigshot61: Not afraid to invest at the right time in the team?We didn't invest before the legia game

MisterHoopy: and if you don't understand what we are trying to do at Celtic then you ARE daft

MisterHoopy: no one gets every signing correct, but we have a great record

MisterHoopy: sorry but we invest every bit of money we get back into the club. Its all in the accounts

bojo67: i have supported celtic for the the last 55 years and have seen the good and bad years but i would rather we were in the position we are in than the dept most other clubs in the uk

Kennyd57: and Sky have killed the game

Kennyd57: UFEA

Kennyd57: end of day Lawwell has done a great job for the club financially the club is stronger than most clubs in the EPL. We still have a team with history to support.

TC12345: comparing to Sevco is our greatest downfall

rodlee85: Could be worse - could be sevco

TC12345: we sold FF for 10mill, we have spent or invested little of that, meanwhile the board are making big money

TC12345: a life-long Celtic supporter receiving WADS of cash from the club !

TC12345: why LOAN signings ?

TC12345: did ye fix the road up tae Lennoxtown ?

TC12345: why are overseas fans (USA, Australia) treated like muck ?

TC12345: what alternatives are we developing to generate cash ?

TC12345: why Ledley and Samaras leave on a free? why are they out of sold when contract?

TC12345: why did we buy Pukki, Balde, Bangura, Brozek, Boerichter, etc etc - waste of money

TC12345: players in ghana, uruguay, colombia are cheaper - why we not buying them?

TC12345: ticket prices through the roof for the common man

TC12345: no living wage - shocking !

TC12345: Ian Bankier 50kpa for sitting around

stevebhoy7: no peter your out of touch with the fans our views differ greatly stop the downsizing

TC12345: food at stadium is a rip-off

TC12345: will re-invest every penny ? YES - into YOUR salary package

ajruss67: Spin master

JasCam: Basically he's telling us that we are too daft to understand how the club is run... Nice one

TC12345: the same as everyone else - who has a heated driveway

JasCam: Build a team on a Shoe string ?

my4everscotland: yes you got them cheap then sold them for big money you haven't even replaced Hooper where is the money

ajruss67: An apology would have been nice.

TC12345: brother walfrid he is not

my4everscotland: liar
